Sunday morning
Woke up at like 6:30 this morning to take the dogs out. Freakin' great getting up at 6:30 on a Sunday morning. I was greeted by a cold, damp morning. Lovely. Yesterday was beautiful but not today. Gotta go to church this morning. Supposed to be unveiling some big plans for expansion.
I'm hooked on online poker. I play at Pokerstars.com. It's a good site with many different games to play. My new favorite game is Omaha hi/lo. It's a hoot. You can win the whole pot, or the high pot, or the low pot. It can get kinda complicated. Thank God the computer tells me what my hand is! I don't play with real money.
The family took my Dad out to dinner last night for his 80th b-day celebration. His b-day isn't officially until Feb. 1st, so we celebrated early. We went to Cattle Baron's Steakhouse. Not bad, but definitely not as good as Texas Roadhouse.
Norman, my Father, was in the Army during WWII. He fought in the Pacific Theatre of War. He fought for his country and I respect the hell out him for that, as I do all veterans. You may not agree with the war in Iraq, but everyone should support the troops. Sure there are few bad apples, but most of them put their asses on the line to save ours.
My Dad wasn't an easy person to grow up with. He worked his butt off to provide for his family and definitely didn't work bankers' hours. He didn't attend many of my functions when I was in high school because he worked long hours. He was in Austin when I won my State Championship medal so that was nice.
I'm out. Going to kick some more ass at the tables and win play chips!
